Quiz 5.5 to 5.7
Knowing that normal distribution calculations are necessary for the entire second semester of the class, we were a bit nervous to see how the students would perform. They did great! We are hopeful that working hard now to establish good habits will pay benefits later (labeling each normal curve with N(mean, SD), properly shading, showing formulas). Here is an example of the quality work that our students are producing.
Now that we have reflected on the student work, we think there might be a better way to show the transition from a z-score into an area. An equal sign is not really appropriate here. We are going to start to use an arrow –> to show the process of turning a z-score into an area.
